The PRIMARY OBJECTIVE of Toastmasters is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which the member is helped to become a competent communicator and effective leader. 
As such members can focus on one or both of these roles -improving as a speaker or growing as a leader.  Toastmasters is dedicated to helping you find you voice and share your ideas with clarity and purpose.
